Brave New Social Media World
Brave New Social Media World will be exhibited at the KunstRAI Statue Square with sculptures and installations that, due to their imposing size, are not usually seen in galleries. It's impossible to miss since the Statue Square is right at the entrance of the artfair!

Brave New Social Media World is exhibited in collab with KochxBos Gallery who will also show some of my paintings in their stand at the KunstRAI. On Friday the 2nd of May I will give a talk next to my statue at 18.30 during the KunstRAI Artist Night.
Brave New Social Media World is a new project of mine dealing with social media and likes, but definitely not my first...
In 2013, we built a 15-meter-high Golden Like at Burning Man and guided people on their "Spiritual path to Enlikement". Afterwards the Like was burned and thus the act of Liking was given back from the digital realm to its natural reality 👍🏽
The following year, I opened the Like Chakra of the audience in the Concertgebouw at TEDx Amsterdam and organised a Funeral of the Like during a performance in Paradiso. And in 2014 together with ISH Dance company we created a theatre play which debuted as open air location theater at the Oerol festival on the island of Terschelling and afterwards toured various theaters in the Netherlands.
Twelve years later, the questions raised about the influence of social media are more relevant than ever.
