Dadara and Jim Avignon at OD Gallery

Those who have followed my work for a longer time know that my career as an artist took off in the early nineties when I started creating the artwork for hundreds of record covers and flyers for the then emerging electronic dance scene.

During that same period there was a Berlin artist with a similar career path – Jim Avignon. It didn’t take long until we got in contact. I visited him in Berlin in 1994 and we did a big live painting together during Love Parade. Over the years we both went our separate ways but always stayed in contact and did collaborations every once in a while. Our last collaboration was alive painting in 2013 at Kater Holzig in Berlin. Time for a follow up! And for this collab we returned to our love for music and created a series of painted vinyls.

The exhibition will show these new works made in collaboration with Jim, as well as an overview of our common history, so expect a selection of my older works as well. During the opening of this exhibition, we will both be present and perform.
