Capturing the essence of reality

The intense Reality of crowdfunding the Solipmission project seemingly paralyzed my Imagination. I actually almost started questioning Why I started doing this project, but luckily I have rediscovered that creative philosophical territory, which was temporarily lost in search of the pot of gold at the end of the crowdfunding rainbow.

24Hourtopia 24 hours on the 21st of February

On the 22nd of November 2014 we created a clock that brought together QualityTime and QuantityTime. The numbers ticked away to the merciless rhythm of the time, while life itself moved with the flow of its own rhythm. A 24-hour movie which was recorded in one take and itself also became a clock, featuring all elements of night and day: sleeping, eating, partying, working, getting up.

Returning to the real world has been always a difficult task after building a Utopian Dream in the Nevada desert at the Burning Man Festival. Everybody is talking about the jet-lag after returning to Amsterdam from the States, but nobody ever mentions reality-lag.

Love as the Root of all Money?

We all have heard that: “Money is the Root of all Evil”. In fact, this phrase has its origins in the Bible, which says: “For the Love of Money is the Root of all Evil.” Somehow Love vanished with the passage of time. But what would happen if Love would return to the equation, and we would start asking ourselves: “What is the Root of All Money?”
